Refunds, cancellation and withdrawal

Three rules, stated once: cancel free before your quit date; no refund of the program fee after it; the commitment amount is charged only on a confirmed failure, and never for an unclear result.

Contact: hello@quitpact.com.

1. Before your quit date: cancel for a full refund

You can cancel at any time before your quit date (day 1), from your dashboard or by emailing hello@quitpact.com. We refund the full program fee ($99 or $49) to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 business days, and your saved card is never charged the commitment amount. There is nothing to explain and no fee.

The time zone you confirmed after payment decides when day 1 starts: 00:00 on your quit date, your local time.

2. From your quit date: no refund of the program fee

Once your quit date arrives the service has started: your checks are scheduled, and a person is standing by to review them. From that point the program fee is not refundable, whether you finish, stop early, or fail. We state this plainly before you pay, and you agree to it when you sign your pact.

There is also no refund after a confirmed failure, because the service was delivered as agreed. If we fail to deliver the service (section 12 of the terms), we refund the fee in full.

3. The commitment amount is not a payment for anything

The amount you choose ($50 to $1000) is never charged at purchase. It is charged only if a failure is confirmed: a positive check or a missed check that you do not successfully appeal within 48 hours, or a withdrawal after your quit date that you do not take back within the window. It is never charged for an unreadable or invalid test, never while an appeal is undecided, and never on a program that was completed or cancelled before its quit date. One charge per program, and the amount never increases.

If it is charged, QuitPact keeps it. It is not a pool, a bet, a prize or a donation, and it is not refundable, because it is the agreed consequence of a confirmed failure under the rules you signed. If you believe a charge was made in error, email us within 30 days with the details; we review every such message personally and refund genuine errors in full.

4. Withdrawing after your quit date

Withdrawing after your quit date counts as a failure: you receive a notice, the 48-hour window and the appeal rules apply, and if it stands the commitment amount is charged. You can take the withdrawal back at any time inside the window, in which case nothing is charged and your program continues. This is the one rule most likely to surprise people, so it is repeated at checkout, in the pact you sign, in the terms and here.

5. Declined cards and payment links

If the commitment charge is declined, we retry once after about three days and then email you a payment link that stays open for 30 days. We add no fees or interest, and we never use a collection agency. Your program has ended either way, and a new pact is always open to you at the regular price.

6. Tests

Tests are bought by you from the retailer of your choice and are not part of what you pay us. Their cost, delivery and returns are between you and the retailer.

7. How to reach us

Email hello@quitpact.com. A person answers. The full agreement is in the terms; how we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
